The Absolute living room, covered on this page, combined Japanese tamo burl with sinuous forms, high-gloss polyester and stainless steel, with a nod to deco. The gallery shows its sofas, bar, bar stools, TV units and buffets. Current pieces from Dall'Agnese, Epoque and Cantori follow for the same kind of room.
What gave Absolute its character?
The depth and colour of Japanese tamo burl gave it character, set in decisive, sinuous forms. High-gloss polyester and stainless steel finished the pieces, and the design kept a link to deco. The photographs below show the Absolute collection, including a big screen unit and a bar.
How comfortable should a modern sofa be?
Comfortable enough to sit in for hours, which depends on the layers inside, not on looks. The Supernova Sofa by Dall'Agnese has seats of high-density expanded polyurethane foam under a slow-memory foam layer, with goose down and fibre in the backs and armrests. Settle the comfort first and choose the cover after. More arrangements appear with our italian living room furniture.
How do you build the TV wall?
Use a lacquered panel for the screen and a long sideboard below or beside it. The Condrite TV Wall Panel by Epoque, from the Exence Expanse collection, is lacquered and comes with or without LED. The Valley Sideboard by Cantori, H 74 x W 240 x D 49 cm, takes a top in wood, mirror, ceramic or marble. When the bedroom comes next, choose a modern designer bed with the same care for surfaces.
Frequently Asked Questions
