This guide covers the Vision living room, which set high-gloss polyester against opaque nubuck leather, black nickel steel and bianco/lilla Indian marble. Its sectional, armchairs, bar, buffet and display cabinets fill the gallery below. Above are three current pieces from Epoque and Dall'Agnese.

Matte against gloss

Vision worked by contrast: high-gloss surfaces next to matte nubuck and dark steel. To repeat that today, pair a glossy table with matte upholstery. The Bomber Coffee Table by Dall'Agnese offers a 40 mm particle board top with a 30° sloping edge in matt or glossy lacquer, wood veneer or UP surface, or 6 mm stoneware on 14 mm glass. Its base is open black metal. The gallery below adds an octagonal end table and a fixed oval table to the Vision set.

A sofa that becomes a bed

The Xenon Sofa by Epoque, from the Exence collection, is also made as a sofa bed. That version uses a two-fold electro-welded frame and a 13 cm polyurethane fibre mattress. The seat is foam, with a feather backrest on request, and the visible feet come in a walnut finish. Room combinations are grouped among the high end living room sets.

A tall moulded armchair

The Madame Armchair by Dall'Agnese stands H 113 x W 78 x D 76 cm, tall enough to frame a corner. Its structure and back are moulded foam over a black painted metal base, with fixed covers. The base also comes in champagne, titanium or matt lacquer, and the seat is padded with expanded polyurethane foam. For another low table, see the italian modern coffee table options.
