This article covers the Diamond modern living room, whose gallery shows the Madison capitonne sofa, Ford armchairs, the Bruce, Alan and Mike sideboards and a Senna side table. It then sets out how to plan seating and storage for a similar room with current pieces from Epoque and Cantori.

What does the Diamond gallery show?

The photographs below show the Diamond collection: Madison sofas, plain and capitonne, Ford armchairs, a Harvey chair, three sideboards, an Avalon dining table and the Donald and Senna tables. The set covers seating, storage and tables for a combined living and dining space. Plan a similar room in the same three groups.

How do you pair a sofa and armchair in a modern lounge?

Pair a soft sofa with a chair that has a firm outline. The Cobalto Sofa by Epoque, from the Exence collection, has visible feet and standard piping. The Jackie Armchair by Cantori, designed by Maurizio Manzoni, sets three distinct upholstered volumes together as seat and back. Turn the armchair slightly so that it and the sofa face the same table. See more of our luxury lounge furniture.

How long should a living room sideboard be?

Roughly as long as the sofa, so the two read as a pair. The Valley Sideboard for Living and Bedroom by Cantori measures H 78 x W 240 x D 49 cm and has lacquered doors and drawers. Hang art or a mirror above it no wider than the sideboard itself. Compare alternatives among our italian designer sideboards.
