Mirage is a luxury bedroom in figured Mowinghi veneer, black marble and satin black nickel steel, and this page pairs it with current pieces in the same dark palette. The photographs below show the Mirage bed, bench, chest, dresser, two styles of night table, vanity desk and ottoman.
Veneer, marble and black nickel in Mirage
Mirage combines Madagascar figured Mowinghi veneer in high-gloss polyester with Kenya Black marble on tops and sides. Bases, handles and bed legs are satin black nickel stainless steel, and drawer bottoms are lined in velvet. The bed is fully upholstered, with a quilted headboard, in leather, nubuk, lizard-printed leather, velvet or suede.
A steel bed finished by hand
The Ghirigori Bed by Cantori has a frame of laser-cut steel, smoothed and polished by hand. It is finished in champagne silver leaf or in lacquer, applied by hand; silver leaf adds light against dark marble, while lacquer stays quieter. Sizes cover mattresses of 140, 160, 180 and 200 x 200 cm. It suits luxury master bedroom furniture where the bed must carry the room.
Nabuk chest and round leather bedside table
The Ocean Chest of Drawers in nabuk-suede by Francesco Pasi has a soft facade over solid wood doors and drawers, 28 mm, and can be finished in 100 Gloss Ebony to sit with black marble. The Sharon Bedside Table by Cantori is round, in shaped leather hide on a metal frame, with one soft-close drawer. Its top can be marble or stone.
